ProjectsBig historians from the University of Amsterdam are currently participating in a number of big history projects.
Journal of Big History The IBHA and members of the University of Amsterdam big history staff are currently working on launching an official scholarly journal for big history research articles in 2016 or 2017. Links to the online journal will be added as soon as they become available. Chronozoom University of California at Berkeley, Microsoft Research, University of Amsterdam big historians and Fontys University of Applied Sciences are currently engaged in the project of improving Chronozoom, and online interactive timeline that allows users to explore the scale of 13.8 billion years in an easily navigable format. The Big History Project in the Netherlands Big historian David Christian and Bill Gates are working on the Big History Project, which consists of an online big history syllabus that is freely available to students and teachers. Dutch schools have joined the Big History project, encouraged by pioneers at the A. Roland Holst College in Hilversum, such as Constance van Hall, who has given several lectures on the subject. University of Amsterdam big historians are working with the Big History Project and the Roland Holst college to stimulate this development. |
